Welcome to the
2016-2017 School Year!
I have been part of the Princeton Public School family since 2007. After creating the developmental counseling program at Littlebrook School, I am excited to begin my third year at John Witherspoon Middle School this September! In addition to being a certified school counselor, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with many years of clinical and school experience. I hold a master's degree in counseling psychology from Temple University and a post-master's certificate in educational leadership.
At JWMS, I "loop" with my students so I am delighted to accompany my current 6th graders on their entire journey through middle school, moving with them as they continue on to grades 7 and 8. I am passionate about getting to know all of my students and will host individual conferences with each and every student to ensure a smooth and successful transition to middle school.
When I am not at JWMS, I can be be found watching the Tennis Channel, planning my next trip to see any musical theater performance "Wicked" and "Les Miserables" are my favorites), or listening to an endless variety of audiobooks. I am fanatical about Harry Potter (Order of the Phoenix is the worst movie but best book) and I enjoy a good game of quidditch every now and again. I have just returned from a magical visit to Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida where I adopted a purple Pygmy Puff from the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes shop. Finally, I firmly believe that LEGO is the best toy ever invented.
I love meeting JWMS students and parents! If I can be of any assistance to you, please contact me at Jennifer_Walters@princetonk12.org to arrange for a convenient in person or telephone visit.
Wishing you a wonderful school year!
